CIeNET Appraised at CMMI V2.0 L3 for Development

CIeNET announced that the company has been successfully certificated in CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) for Development V2.0 at Maturity Level 3 (CMMI-DEV V2.0 ML3) and completed the migration from CMMI V1.3 DEV to CMMI V2.0 DEV.

CMMI is Capability Maturity Model Integration, CMMI V2.0 is to help enterprises meet the changing business challenges by establishing and improving the core competence. CMMI V2.0 helps the organization design, deliver,  and manage the products, services, and vendors. It also helps enterprises achieve specific business goals by adopting CMMI V2.0 model to improve performance —— reduce time to market, improve products and services’ quality, and increase the revenue and profits.

Compared with CMMI V1.3 DEV L3 certification, CMMI V2 DEV L3 has officially introduced  the best practice of agile development and has differences in the thinking mode, key terms, structure and description, practice areas, and evaluation methods.

• CIeNET has completed the migration from CMMI V1.3 DEV to CMMI V2.0 DEV, which indicates the continuous improvement in software development, project management, and delivery. It continues to maintain the international level and has the strength to provide professional services to world-class customers;
• This is the first time that CIeNET’s multiple sites’ R&D teams have participated in the appraisal. Meanwhile, Nanjing and Chengdu adopted the mode of online remote review, it’s the challenges to the evaluation methods under the current situation;
• This is the first time that CIeNET has adopted the method of random sampling on projects, interviewers, and practice areas, which objectively and comprehensively reflects the abilities of local departments’ project management and R&D efforts;
• CMMI V2.0 DEV also has higher requirements on appraised team members, more outstanding employees from CIeNET’s different departments joined the appraised team to interview the enterprise’s R&D and project management abilities from a more professional, in-depth, and objective perspective.

Being appraised at CMMI V2.0 DEV L3 objectively and comprehensively demonstrates CIeNET’s abilities in software development and project management to continuously meet higher requirements within the industry.
