Creating a Sustainable and Greener Workplace at CIeNET

Corporate social responsibility is important to CIeNET because we are people who believe in making the world a better place. We play an important role for our clients from around the world, and thus our sustainability efforts have benefits that spread to the world beyond CIeNET.

CIeNET has a multidimensional approach to working towards a greener future. Besides analyzing our emissions and committing to a plan to target less than 1.5°C company-wide, we reduce our footprint wherever possible.

All our over 2,000 employees are trained on environmental initiatives including recycling, reducing paper usage, conserving water, and limiting electricity-use.

We encourage paperless daily work through the introduction of our self-developed CNBI system and other cross-departmental communication tools, and we have strict office rules in recycling and use-reduction of paper, toner cartridges, plastics, aluminum, and electronic parts as well as reducing electricity and water use in the workplace.

We are always looking for ways to become more sustainable. For our Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, and Nanjing offices, we adopted an eco-friendly interior design and energy saving practices, using eco-friendly office furniture, energy-saving light bulbs and a maximum A/C temperature setting for all seasons.

We take one extra step to become a truly responsible company for not only our generation but also for future generations. “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” is the theme of our green office practices. With the firm belief that every bit of effort helps, all employees are encouraged to protect the environment, no matter how small the deed might be.
